Beswick Ducks and Geese

The Beswick Collection of birds, including Beswick Ducks and Geese, come in many varieties.  Initially in the 1930's the Company began creating Wall Plaques. The first of these were the Flying Beswick Ducks. They were followed by Pheasants and Seagulls.

Designer, Colin Melbourne, in the 1950's modelled a series of Decoy Ducks. There were a set of 12 of them in all.  The birds sheltering at Peter Scott's Sanctuary at Slimbridge were the inspiration for these Decoy Beswick Ducks.
